It’s located in Myrkholt, between Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir area. It’s a new cabin and has 8 rooms for 4 people. You will find a fully equipped kitchen, toilet- and bath facility, dining room and living room.
Myrkholt is also a horse rental and has facilities for the horses, both a paddock and a stable. We offer riding tours from 1 hour tours up to day tours. Nearby the cabin you will find beautiful hiking trails and horse paths which take you the waterfall Gullfoss, the geothermal area Geysir, the canyons where the glacier river Hvítá runs and around the forest Haukadalsskógur. The cabin offers a picturesque view as it’s situated so closely to the isolated highlands, an ideal place to breathe in the mountain air in your pajamas.

This cabin is smaller or about 70 m2 and has 3 bedrooms. One bedroom has a twin bed and the other two bedrooms are for three people. It can be rented with or without bed linen. A spacious bathroom, kitchen and dining room with WI-FI.
The view from the cabin is over the geothermal area of Geysir and you can see the world famous Strokkur erupt from the cabin.

Árbúðir cabin is on the highland road Kjölur. It has sleeping accommodation for 30 people and it has a facility to cook, toilet and a shower. In Árbúðir you will have the facilities needed for horses; paddock, a large stable and hay for sale.
Árbúðir is situated on the bank of the river Svartá. During the summertime it’s peaceful to walk along the river and watch sheep roam freely around. The cabin is close to Hvítárnes, a beautiful historic place in Iceland.

The cabin in Fremstaver is a cosy cabin close to the mountain Bláfell. It has sleeping accommodation for 25 people. It has a great facility to cook and a toilet as well as a stable and hay for sale for horses.
This location has mild weather, wonderful atmosphere and perfect for outdoor activities. In the southeast of the mountain Bláfell you have places of interest called Hellrar and Kór. On the east of the mountain you have the glacier river Hvítá running through canyons which is worth seeing. To walk the mountain itself on a clear day is a unique experience because it offers a scenic view.
Around the year 1000 a giant lived in the mountain Bláfell. His name was Bergþór and he kept his wealth in his cave. Bergþór’s treasure is still not found even though many have searched. It’s believed that the cave will be found when it’s searched for with the right intentions. Maybe nowadays somebody has acquired the humility and the wisdom of life that takes to find the wealth of Bergþór.

The cabin of Gísli has sleeping accommodation for 45-50 people in six rooms. The facility to cook is very good and the cabin has a bright and spacious dining room, 2 living rooms, toilet and a shower. The cabin has a power station and it has lights and heating.
Svartárbotnar has the facilities for horses like a paddock, a large stable with a nice storage for tackle and hay for sale.
The cabin of Gísli is in a beautiful, untouched environment at the edge of the lava of Kjölur. It’s where you’ll find the source of the river Svartá, a crystal clear surface water that runs down to Árbúðir cabin and café. You can ride along the river or walk. Kjalfell, the mountain, is within walking distance from Svartárbotnar and it’s situated in the middle of the Kjölur lava. Here you have the trails of the brothers of Reynistaðir, an Icelandic folktale. From Gíslaskáli you can walk to nearby places like Gránunes, walk a path to Beinhóll with old cairns along the way and see the cave of Grettir which can be hiked in one day back and forth. On the east of Svartárbotnar you will see Jökulfall river run through extensive canyons. It’s a marked hiking trail.
There is a short distance to Hveravellir, a geothermal area, if you are driving and drive to Kerlingarfjöll mountain range.
